John Milton who was born 400 years ago and produce a wealth of poems and treatises. Milton risked his life to argue for vocational education, divorce and freedom of the press when such views were extraordinary. He lived right by St Paul’s Cathedral except for the years of the Great Plague when he fled to the tiny village of Chalfont St Giles in Bucks.
