The CPD modules
The CPD training modules for Learning Outside the Classroom have been written in conjunction with the How To Guidance material, and support the principles outlined in them. There are six modules, for a range of participants, and are designed as off-the-shelf resources that can be delivered as whole-day training, or in sessions. You will find trainer notes, facilitation scripts by session, PowerPoint presentations to support them, and all the materials you need, including the delegate resource booklet, to run a high-quality, focused training experience. Modules also have an introductory page for trainers of tips to support the training process, and links to the How To Guidance documents that you need to read before delivering training.
Simply click on the tab below for the module that you are interested in delivering, for more information on the module and the training materials.

Please note that wherever the terms ‘young person’ or ‘young people’ are used, these refer to children, pupils and/or students.
These materials are for practitioners involved with young people aged 0–19 years of age, therefore wherever the site refers to ‘school’ this also encompasses other settings such as early years and youth groups.
Throughout the website we refer to EVCs (Educational Visits Coordinators). However the information is also applicable to LOTCCs (Learning Outside the Classroom Coordinators).
